Tom Stehn, retired Chair of the International Whooping Crane Recovery Team has authored a captioned slide show about “Lobstick” the whooping crane. Lobstick is believed to be the oldest whooping crane in the world. He will be 34 years old this June. Lobstick, a male, is a member of the Aransas-Wood Buffalo whooping crane population. He has often been in the news concerning his role as a whooper parent and during his migratory flights from his Canada nesting habitat to the Texas wintering area.
