Report a Sighting

Was it really a Whooper I saw?

Check our handy identification guide and video to find out if what you saw was a Whooping Crane or something else.

Whooping Cranes usually travel and feed in small groups – from one to six birds.  They may sometimes travel with Sandhill Cranes, but never as a large flock of Whooping Cranes.  If you see a large flock of birds numbering 9 to 99 flying they will not be Whooping Cranes.
